  • LAS VEGAS HOSTS THURSDAY USAC WEST COAST & SOUTHWEST SPRINT CAR SEASON OPENER
    PHOENIX, AZ – FEBRUARY 28, 2015... On Thursday, March 5th, the USAC West Coast and SouthWest Sprint Cars will invade The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Sponsored by Hoosier Tire, the $2,500-to-win "4th Annual Sin City Showdown" opens the point season for both groups and will kickoff the popular Grudge Series. A talented roster of drivers from Arizona, California, and the Midwest are expected to compete for bragging rights on the half-mile clay oval. The famed World of Outlaw Sprint Cars and IMCA Modifieds will share the spotlight as the spectator gates will open at 5:00pm with racing scheduled for 7:00pm.   • RAIN WASHES OUT WINTER CHALLENGE AT TUCSON
    TUCSON, AZ – JANUARY 29, 2015… Due to overnight rain and the continued certainty of rain for the remainder of the weekend it is with regret that we cancel the remaining portion of the Winter Challenge. Unfortunately this portion of the Winter Challenge will not be rescheduled. We would like to thank the race teams and fans for supporting this event as we look forward to doing it again next year.
     
  • WINTER CHALLENGE HEADS TO TUCSON FOR FRIDAY / SATURDAY EVENTS
    PHOENIX, AZ – JANUARY 29, 2015… Tomorrow night, the “4th Annual E&K Winter Challenge” featuring the USAC SouthWest and West Coast Sprint Cars will shift to USA Raceway in Tucson. Opening with a Friday night $2,000-to-win feature, the mini-series champion will crowned after Saturday’s $4,000-to-win finale.     PEORIA, AZ – JANUARY 26, 2015... Leading all 30-laps, Ryan Bernal of Hollister, California backed up Saturday’s dramatic victory to claim his second straight win of the “E&K Winter Challenge.” For Bernal, the $4,000 triumph at Kevin Montgomery’s Canyon Speedway Park was his fourth career USAC SouthWest Sprint Car feature win. “The People’s Champion” Dave Darland, “Chargin” Charles Davis Jr., Brady Bacon, and R.J.   • RYAN BERNAL’S PHOTO FINISH SURGE TAKES $2,000 WINTER CHALLENGE VICTORY
    PEORIA, AZ – JANUARY 25, 2015... In one of the closest finishes in the history of Canyon Speedway Park, Ryan Bernal of Hollister, California emerged victorious in Saturday’s “Winter Challenge” main event. Charging from the tenth staring spot, Bernal powered to a photo finish with “The People’s Champion” Dave Darland at the checkered flags. With transponders registering a .005 victory for Ryan, the $2,000 triumph was his third career USAC SouthWest win. Darland, R.J. Johnson, Brady Bacon, and “Chargin” Charles Davis Jr. rounded out the top-five drivers as the third round of the Winter Challenge continues tonight....(more)

    PEORIA, AZ – JANUARY 24, 2015... Taking the lead from “The Magic Man” Mike Martin on lap five, Brady Bacon of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma won the opening night of the “4th Annual E&K Construction Winter Challenge.” For his efforts, the USAC National Champion earned $2,000 for taking Friday’s USAC SouthWest and West Coast Sprint Car victory at Canyon Speedway Park. R.J. Johnson, “The People’s Champion” Dave Darland, “Chargin” Charles Davis Jr., and Stevie Sussex rounded out the top-five drivers as the second round of the five-race mini-series gets underway tonight.....(more)
     
  • “4TH ANNUAL E&K WINTER CHALLENGE” STARTS JANUARY 23RD
    PHOENIX, AZ – JANUARY 19, 2015… Starting this Friday, January 23rd, the “4th Annual E&K Winter Challenge” will open the 2015 season for the USAC SouthWest and West Coast Sprint Cars. Showcasing five-races in nine nights, the non-point “Arizona Speed Week” will draw many talented drivers from across the country. Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria will host the first three nights of action before shifting to Tucson’s USA Raceway on January 30th. Racing will start at 5:00pm on weekends and 7:00pm on weekdays.
