WEST COAST SPRINT CAR SPECIFICATIONS

  • 360 Cubic-Inch V-8 engines with cast iron blocks and aluminum cylinder heads power the USAC West Coast  Sprint Cars. The fuel-injected engines produce over 650 horsepower and use methanol for fuel.
     
  • These 1475-pound rocket ships combine the thrill of raw power with the heart stopping action of non-wing sprint car racing. Dirt rooster tails, wheel stands, and competitive racing are the norm when these bad boys come to town.
     
  • WEIGHT: 1475 Pounds With Driver
  • CHASSIS: Tubular 4130 Aircraft Steel.
  • ENGINE: Fuel Injected, Normally Aspirated, Internal Combustion, 360 Cubic Inches, Iron Block, V-8.
  • HORSEPOWER: Over 650 HP.
  • CYLINDER HEADS: ASCS Legal Spec Brodix Cylinder Heads or 1 7/8” Restrictors With Any “Open” Cylinder Head.
  • MUFFLERS: Any Muffler that meets 95 decibels @ 100ft requirement. Recommended Mufflers: Schoenfeld 14272735, Extreme 180 degree Muffler or Flow Master large Suitcase muffler part #53545-10 (Chico / Ocean Legal). 
    Mufflers Must Meet 95 Decibels at 100 Feet.
  • FUEL: Methanol.
  • FUEL CAPACITY: 27-41 Gallons.
  • TIRES: Hoosier Medium (105x16x15) Right Rear Tire.
    - Hoosier DT3, RC3, and VRA Right Rear Tires are legal. 
    - Hoosier Left Rears and Front Tires Only.
  • SUSPENSION: Solid Front and Rear Axles, With Torsion Bar or Coil Spring Suspension.
  • DRIVELINE: Direct Drive Without Clutch or Transmission. Quick Change Gears are Behind The Rear Assembly.
  • SHOCKS: Cockpit adjustable shocks are not allowed.
  • RADIOS: Raceceiver One Way Race Receivers are mandatory.
    - Race Receivers are a one-way communication radio between Race Director and racers.
